Stranger In Me.

by MikaMad15   Jan 15, 2009

Running from the shadowed plains.
I hear voices, I hear them well.
They follow me, where ever I turn.
No matter what, they have me locked down.
In their firm grasp, I know this is the end.
I finally give up to their presence.
They whisper and curse.
"Let me help you, do the job"
They say as there slit my wrists for me.
As I bleed out, I weep.
They are screaming at me,
telling me I'm pathetic.
All I can say is I know, I am nothing.
I am a Burden of this world, the unwanted.
They hand me a mirror,
"Take a good, long look honey"
I push it away, and the tears fall faster.

I'm afraid of light bouncing off the glass,
because if I see.......
I see a stranger, I see the stranger in me.
