River of love

by Ingrid   Jan 16, 2009

River of love

Like a slow but steady river
God 's love flows through me
An endless stream of devotion,
invisible for others to see

Life can give us no guaranties,
so much death and destruction
The meaning not clear to many
In drugs and alcohol lies seduction

It takes courage to stand tall
amidst defeat and evil deeds
To be your own man at all times
and not give in to low needs

To all evil there is just one cure:
stay true to yourself and to others
Allow our Father 's love to flow freely,
turn the other cheek to lost brothers

Like a slow but steady river
God 's love flows through me
An endless stream of devotion,
invisible for others to see

Evil will not get it 's claws in me
His shield of love is my protection
and my life 's gift to all I meet:
my everlasting affection
