Ride The Light

by Bill Turner   Jan 16, 2009

Shadow riding, an outlaw on the run
Darkness haunts me wherever I roam
Tracking my blackened soul
Ride the valley, hide the light
Ride the valley, out of sight

Six gun my only friend
Slung low, at the ready
Never letting me down
Ride the valley, hide the light
Ride the valley, out of sight

Day break brings sleep
Never rest as demons command
Weary as the weeks run together
Ride the valley, hide the light
Ride the valley, out of sight

Another town on the horizon
Some kid wanting to make a name
A lonely barmaid is what I need
Ride the valley, hide the light
Ride the valley, out of sight

Quicker than me
Deaths head striking
Soul consumed in flames
Ride the valley, hide the light
Ride the valley, out of sight

I'm getting an image of the western times. A
lonely rider singing his thoughts out. I like the
    flow of this write..good write.
