Inside My Veins

With each and every passing moment,
The suspense I have grows uncontrollably,
Every inch of excitement within me,
Runs deeper and deeper into my veins

My pulse becomes as quick as lightening,
It strikes hard and magnificently,
I feel my heartbeat violently speed up,
As if an earthquake were occurring in me

My mind begins to wander off,
Thinking of things that make no sense,
Dreaming of a mysterious man,
Whom I have never met

Running in circles around the subject,
Trying to piece together all the signs,
Understanding why I'm feeling so different,
All thoughts coming back to the man in my dreams

He is but a beautiful stranger to me,
Yet I know him incredibly well,
My hands long to touch his,
My heart longs to love him

A spark of electricity crosses my lips,
Whenever my tongue speaks his name,
I feel as if I'm going crazy over him,
Becoming so very much in love

The feelings start to wrestle around,
With both my heart and mind,
One side tells me to love him,
The other reassures me that he isn't real

Deciding to give up on the man in my dreams,
I get right back to square one,
All the crazy feelings creep back inside me,
My excitement grows even more this time

But this time it is not just a dream,
Our lips can touch and I see the fireworks,
And as our love grows stronger and stronger,
I feel it deeper and deeper inside my veins
