Our Silhouettes

by Grunge Angel   Jan 17, 2009

Your features; all are darkened
silhouetted by the moon
your eyes; they wink and sparkle
and your smile none too soon

the shadows; didn't betray
all that we have known
it isn't just your darkness
my darling, you're not alone

standing; still,..and stoic
your soul begins to shine
and your love like new, green ivy
slowly begins to vine

you may turn and twist in terror
behind you; nothing you will find
but believe me when I say it
just one thing to keep in mind

your shadow only lies to you
while it may not seem so kind
two silhouettes together
trust is how they bind

you and me together
until the end of time
though you might not ever see it
behind you; I confide

With cold embrace and closure
the darkness slips away
with it goes my figure
to the shadows I will stay

This is one where you need to read again and gain to get the jist of it. It is well thought out and well written, but you should maybe add another verse....i liked it though...
