But What A Beautiful Lie

by CanUKissAwayMyPain   Jan 20, 2009

Days go by.
Time flies right by me.
Standing in the same dam place.
With a smile showing now and then.
Raining invisible tears.
Everyone guesses I'm alright.
Cause that stupid smile on my face.
Those few dumb laughs you hear.
All come in a price to pay.
Dying every moment I'm breathing.
Biting my lips from crying.
Holding myself in place.
Trying to break free from this place that surrounds me.
So days go by.
Everyone sees I'm alright.
But what a beautiful lie.

^^I adore these opening lines, so many people act as if everything is fine when it's not and you capture that amazingly well here.

    "Dying every moment I'm breathing.
    Biting my lips from crying.
    Holding myself in place.
Trying to break free from this place that surrounds me.
    So days go by."

^^I really liked the imagery in these lines, it creates vivid pictures for me as the reader.

    "Everyone sees I'm alright.
But what a beautiful lie. "

^^Beautiful way to close the piece, hard hitting and moving.
