Knock, knock

by Arun Khan   Jan 20, 2009

Knock, knock, my conscience standing outside my door
Drop, drop, my tears won't fall anymore
Knock, knock, the pounding echoes like a demons roar
Drop, drop, these crimes haunt me forevermore

In the corner over there, that's where she weeps
In the corner over there. That's where she screams
In the corner over there, that's where her broken heart sleeps
In the corner over there, that's where I broke her dreams

Sighs, I can't catch my breath
Cries, there's no comfort in our death
Bleeding, fingers screeching down my soul
Staring into Guilt's jaws that form a gaping hole

Knock, knock, she's sitting out front on the floor
Drop, drop, tears falling in my head
Knock, knock, she's pounding her fists at the door
Drop, drop, fear bumping beneath my bed.

In the corner over there, that's where she begs
In the corner over there, that's where she curses
In the corner over there, that's where I broke her legs
In the corner over there, that's where hate her nurses

Misery, save me from your malice
Hate, hear not her calls for retribution
Reaper, take me not to the river Styx nor Satan's palace
God, my keeper, let me rot but spare me my execution

Knock, knock, her screams are knocking in my core
Drop, drop, let me drive a knife into my chest
Knock, knock her heart is knocking on my door
Drop, drop, her tears won't let me find rest

This is a recreation of a poem I wrote, but I've somehow lost, it's not as good as the original, so it might have a little changes along the next few days.
