My absolute favourite thing to do is close my eyes. That sounds silly, but I do have a reason. When I close my eyes, I can sometimes see you. I can feel your smile right by my ear, your laugh tickling me. I can see you right in front of me, when I close my eyes, and you're never any further away than that.
It's funny, 'cause it all started such a very long time ago. But really, what's a month or ten in comparison for the millions of years I'm gonna spend being your best friend? Forever is an awfully long time to lay in a field with the stars whirlin' above your head, just breathin' with the people you love. I close my eyes and I can hear you breathing.
Every morning, I walk out into the cold, and I see the sun rising up above me, and I know it rose above you just an hour earlier. I can stand on my tip toes and I can touch the pearly sky and know you're thinking of me. Sometimes, the sky is too terribly far away for me to reach. I can still see the morning stars though, love, and that's how I know you're here. That's how I know you're real. You're mine.
I'm closing my eyes right now.
