in a field not to long ago.
While you were lying in my arms and we were whispering I love yous to the stars
and you kept telling me everything would be alright
But before long your body began to lose its heat
and I held you closely for quite a while
and you smile offered great comfort every time i wept
but tonight I cried for a different reason
and before long you said you'd see me soon
and we whispered more I love yous
and you wiped away my tears and you lay limply in my arms
an i knew you were among the stars you so endlessly adorned
