Who You Really Are

by shadow   Jan 25, 2009

Eyes wide open and staring back at me
Light hits the blue until it's all that I can see
Shining like a diamond in the bright sky
Fading back to black with the tears you cry

An ugly green monster has buried itself within
Turning and twisting it's way into your skin
Like a seed planted from the years of constant abuse
Took your skeletons in the closet and set them loose

Now you reak of such impatience and stupid hate
Fallen from the path that once led you to your fate
Walking bare foot on these hot coals that burn
Shoving down the pain until inside it'd twist and turn
