Starlit Dreams

Shining on into our hearts
Whilst in the sky the sun remains
Lightning in our souls
And lessening our pains
The stars shine too
And our eyes do
Mourn for the beauty of the fallen race
Slipping ever from the Sun's own grace
I have seen them wander far
Helplessly reaching for a shooting star
One day I'll return to the land that fosters dreams
And I'll find a way to let those stars back into my dreams
