If Only

by Ariel   Jan 26, 2009

If only words were said,
Instead of left unspoken,
You would grasp my heart,
To protect it from being broken.

If only actions had been taken,
Instead of left undone,
You would become my soulmate,
My companion, My number one.

If only dreams became reality,
Instead left unfulfilled,
You would be my soldier,
& unto my heart, a shield.

If only imaginations became actuality,
Instead of confined in mind,
We'd spend life together,
& our souls would be entwined.

If only love had developed,
Instead of pushed aside,
We would become one,
As I became your bride.
