Important issues knock at my door
but your in my mind again, silencing all noise
I remain distracted, only waking when you leave
but I never get to choose how long you stay
you stay in my head, blurring all other thought
until you decide to leave, and have me slide back into focus
Even my dreams are now haunted by you
and you never bother to be creative
the night bliss is always a simple worldly portrait
but always you and me, just how I like us best
But I need to clear my mind of you, for now ... somehow
So I can work, something I have ignored while thinking of you
I know I need to concentrate
my mind must absorb other thoughts
