I used to escape into my mind
But dark thoughts have seeped through over time
Now Death's longing grasp is everywhere
Enveloping me with loneliness and despair
I am a lifeless soul in the world where I dwell
Silent screams escape through the clouds of my living hell
My heart is being constantly tortured by the flames of hate
People ignoring the tears that run down my face
Abandonment has been the story of my life
The only trust I have stored is in this knife
It helps the pain to steadily cease
And temporarily leaves me at peace
Peace and love is all I long to obtain
Honestly, is that too much to ask for, too much to gain
