A dying heart

by Mark   Jan 28, 2009

9. the bittersweet feeling held inside
8. a stupid act of selfish pride
7. made you leave without a tear
6. now I no longer fear,
5. acid in my throat
4. now found it's road
3. and my heart
2. starts to-
1. die

I like the bullet points, shows how hurt you are and what hurts you most, 8 being the least; 1 being the most. Deep, 5/5. Em x

  • I like this, and if u ready nine to one it's even more deeper.

Wow, Mark. That was a very interesting poem. I really like how you counted down with numbers... I've never read a poem like that. And even though it was so different.. it flowed really well.

    8. a stupid act of selfish pride
    7. made you leave without a tear
-- All I can say is that I can really relate with these two lines here...

    Awesome poem.
