I take my hands to mirror the sky, and warmly embrace the tiny waterfall flowing from my sink's elongated throat. The water sighs softly, and shivers as my fingers run through its course. Its icy breath envelopes both of my hands, and I linger there a few moments, until our temperatures melt together. Then I turn over and cup my hands as ready to cradle the most delicate crystalline heart. Slowly my palms fill with water, as I lower my neck and prepare to rinse the day from my skin. Bringing my arms upward into a loose halo around my head, I separate left hemisphere from right and the silken cleanse falls abruptly across my face. For that one second my world had split in half and released its memories unto me. But as I fold my arms downward and cup my hands I bring my world back together; a perfect semi-circle with room enough to drink more water. Under the faucet again, the sink's throat spilling out all the days' events into my palms. I watch the thick white-like ribbon pour out of its mouth and into my wrinkled cup. And again I lower my neck, raise my arms, and cut the world in half. Sweet hydrating release: it dances down my forehead, across my eyes, along my cheeks and into my mouth. The day is wiping tangibly away, but I --- I am swallowing it. |

I read this out loud to one of my friends haha, don't think I'm weird, just that every word flows off the tongue and how it appears like a piece of prose, it reads so poetically, so honestly, and how it's so true! Water is our saviour! Lol |
