Unknown Road

by Katy Nicholson   Jan 31, 2009

I had no way of knowing,
Time was measured by each year.
I had no way of feeling,
Pain was counted by each tear.

I must be in sync with my thoughts,
Is what I kept telling myself.
The cold shoulder never felt so hot,
And I kept on denying help.

I realize I couldn't see.
How easy It had been for me to cry.
To withstand the greatest of pain,
I didn't have a chance but I sill tried.

We really have to be strong,
If we want to survive.
Because this is such a cruel world.
Granted, there's nowhere to hide.

Please come and take my hand.
I know it's a long walk alone.
Until we find ourselves, our place;
Let's venture this unknown road.
