*sorry i'm so late submitting it. i've been really depressed and haven't gotten much of anything done since then*

Another year
Come and gone
But do I have
The energy to go on?

Another meaningless night
Just another day of the year
But it brings with it a whole start
To the endless pain and fear

The pain has grown so bad
A vicious animal, attacking my heart
I don't think I can take anymore
With the year, it will restart

The fear has grown too
Afraid of everything around
Too scared to open my eyes
Terrified of what will be found

Another year of emptiness
Another year of hurt
Another year of bleeding
And not wearing a t-shirt

Another year in solitude
Facing my demons alone
Another year of fighting
To make it on my own

Welcome to the memories
I wish I could erase
Welcome to another year
I don't have the strength to face
