Never Let This Go

by Lonely Rider   Feb 2, 2009

Never let this go
(A tribute to Mother Earth)

Soothing morning breeze,
twinkling crystal water
Silently vanishing as,
Carbons take over

Cancerous molecules
clawing at our sight,
mutating into greed,
unquenchable appetite

Stump disposed shade,
plastic souvenirs,
chemicallized clouds,
crying acidic tears

Asphyxiated earth
plead hope to grow,
defend endangered love
and Never let this go.

Excellently written, I loved the flow of this poem, however; I must say it could be better with more puncuation. You have very little puncuation in this poem (almost none except for the ocasional commas).

Puncuation is very important in poetry, it allows the reader to know when to pause or stop as well as strengthing the overall structure and flow of the poem.

Overall a well thought out poem with good flow and vocabulary.

Well done, keep up the good work.

    Peace, Joe

Sadly all to true. Now the question is not can we fix it but will we?
    Nice imagery.

This poem is based on a very relatable sitiation: the earth is being destroyed by us humans.
The stanza structure was a classic 4 line, and had rhymes all the way through. I liked the high words you used in order to make this piece more interesting. The flow was good from begining to end.

    Nice work 5/5

    "Soothing morning breeze,

    Silently vanishing as,
Carbons take over." This is a thoughful write. as i read your words it makes me wonder... and still wondering. Who is to be blamed? human beings of course. Still what is positive is that, something can be done to preserve the rest left. Very well done on such an interesting topic. 5/5, kel.
