Trees

by !•°•Megan•°•!   Feb 3, 2009

She sits by her window
looking beyond the barran brush
thats all she ever does
unaware to the touch
Her minds a tangled patch of thorns
she sits in silence and yet she mourns
Her eyes stare longingly out to sea
her mind floating away with the breeze
She would give anything to be
unconfined by the swaying trees
Shes stuck in tangled web of cries
looking through aged eyes
thinking of a better place
without the transparent lies
She looks out her window
beyond the looming trees
As much as she longs to
She is never going to leave

Megan, darling... I know you wrote this years ago, but I just now read it and I STILL to this day think you are an INCREDIBLE writer and this poem just squeezed the living shit out of my heart. I just felt all this pain, I loved the flow, loved the word choices, loved the imagery, loved every single thing about this poem. I wish I had read this sooner. Just never forget that whatever happens, whatever boys come and go, or ANYTHING--you'll always be the love of my life. <3 :)
