Lean On Me

by TheRevelation   Feb 3, 2009

Reach to me your hands,
lean on me when you, so weak,
cannot stand.

Know that, although you are planted,
to the soiled earth, you can fly,
do not ever say you can't.

In the winter, when leaves flee,
stand together to bring warmth,
so that all eyes may see.

Take my love with you to keep,
deep inside your roots it will stay,
I am here when you may weep.

We are all connected, just as one,
Don't tear us down or it will be done.

**I was watching as I passed the trees and how they lean and reach on each other. Please be aware of deforestation, don't tear all of the beauty away from this world.

When i read this poem, it gives me this feeling of peace and serenity. I like how you penned this down... the way you describe kindda bring the atmosphere closer to the readers.

We are all connected, just as one,

^^ This is a beautiful way to end it. though they are planted sparsely, they are all connected as one as a forest. Keep it up

    Nicole,

a poem about deforestation, a worthy poem indeed. I too like the way that you have described the way you saw the trees, saw their beauty and felt their plea.

    Well done on this.
