Inconsiderate Minds

by JaM   Feb 4, 2009

How often must we question,
Our abilities and our ways,
Is it not easy to be satisfied,
With what we have today?

There's so much focus on negativity,
With no aspect of the good,
But there is a lot of positive,
So change our perspectivem, we should.

"Be grateful for what you have",
What happened to this phrase?
There are others with less,
Who struggle through their days.

Don't be so inconsiderate,
Try to think of other's.
Take for example,
A struggling single mother.

    "How often must we question,
    Our abilities and our ways,
Is it not easy to be satisfied,
    With what we have today?"

^^I frikken love this opening stanza, I found it to be strong and thought provoking, and it instantly pulled me into the piece.

"There's so much focus on negativity,
With no aspect of the good,
But there is a lot of positive,
So change our perspectivem, we should."

^^I found the flow to be of in the last line here, however that's a minor thing as the meaning behind the words outweighs it, and again I'm finding this thought provoking, strong and moving.

""Be grateful for what you have",
    What happened to this phrase?
    There are others with less,
    Who struggle through their days."

^^I found this to be the strongest stanza of the piece, the depth and meaning here is incredible, really makes the reader think.

    "Don't be so inconsiderate,
    Try to think of other's.
    Take for example,
    A struggling single mother. "

^^I found this a beautiful way to wrap this piece up, moving and hardhitting, something that will stay with the reader.

    I really enjoyed this.
