Too Good For Me?

by Hawaiian Chick   Feb 6, 2009

You seemed to really like me,
once I made my interest known,
But everything laughed at me,
when our love was at last shown.

They said I shouldn't get you,
that you're too good for me.
That you're Student Body President,
and I'm some nobody.

But I tried to ignore their mocking,
cause I knew that you liked me.
But then you acted oddly,
The reason why I couldn't see.

I knew the gossip got to you,
though I thought that you were strong.
Your words must have been lies then,
I guess I knew it all along.

But then the next year came,
and I showed you what you lost,
you came back crawling back then,
and you asked, "What's the cost?"

I took your crown and glory,
the school sided then with me,
the gossip went against you,
And never mine you'll be.
