I don't know what he's doing
But I wish he'd put me back on the ground
Back to where it's safe and sound
I don't know where this is going
But I know it's headed for disaster ..
Or could there be a happy ever after?

He keeps drowning out
My seas of tears
Yet still no doubt
The definition of my fears
& I know it makes no sense
But the chance of us ever being past tense
Is enough for me
to kill any possibility
Of anything beyond friends

I don't know what he thinks
Does he know he saved me from falling?
He's got me going in the opposite direction
Still I wish, wish I could make a correction
Back to what I know I won't miss
Cause I would rather not blow this
Rather hang this crush up on a shelf
Admire from afar, wish it away
Trying to keep it to myself
Can't seem to last a single day.

Cause back to where it's safe and sound
Isn't possible when he's around.
