So many years of longing
Lying awake beneath a dark vast sky
While everywhere the world turns
And the moon rises and falls
As if in time with my every sigh.
Wandering, sometimes, lost in thought
Consumed inside by something
That my tender heart could not explain.
An ache, a yearning, a longing...
That i somehow carried inside me for so long,
Moments turing into minutes,
Then to hours, and to weeks,
To months, and finally years.
Knowing within me something was stirring
Walking through all the rains and storms of my life,
Knowing all along,
You were the sun to my soul.
Then, as if by a divine intervention from god
The world stopped still for a moment,
You stood before me.
All the years of longing flooded through me.
Its like someone took my my breath away
And i looked soulfully into your eyes,
And you, you walked towards me.
Then you kissed me...
And within that one moment,
There was nothing else but you,
Nothing elese moved or mattered,
No worlds, no moons, no tides.
Just you.
The man i have loved my whole lifetime......
