Earth of Mines

by David ODonnell   Feb 9, 2009

The jousting winds prevail with cause
Such wind that passes hold back the flaws
Menaced words which float in time
Soon drift apart in verse and rhyme

The doubts and pain are left behind
With seasoned will and thoughts combined
Wavey paths present but few
Journied hearts that never grew

Through times of grim and meak dispair
The howeling cries in echoed air
Blown away but force unknown
With thoughts that kept and never shown

Hurtfull words once said in vain
Depart like tears within the rain
An empty cause not quite so hollow
Begins the tale that now must follow

That gracefull smile that held a heart
Those loving memories have played thier part
Was all of love on empty eyes
Withered temper and hurtfull lies

Walking blind in earth of mines
That sent thier words and read thier signs
You made the bed that you once slept
Now unkeep the promise that you unkept
