And It's Me

by Stace   Feb 10, 2009

I think I did it again
I stepped out of bounds, was living in sin
I thought to you it's all the same
If play my harmless game

But I was wrong and now I see
How unexplained my heart can be
I thought I was just playing smart
When I toyed around your heart

I do not really care for you
I know that by the things I do
You seem happier with her
More with me? mmhmm, sure

I thought my little game was fun
"Grab his heart, then turn and run"
I'm the careless heartless being
I can't believe I'm just now seeing

I know inside that I was wrong
But for those feelings I did long
To be te center of the crowd
The ones at whom I scoff out loud

The wants my looks, they hate my game
The paradox, I laugh to shame
They don't realize what a gem they're losing
By their adament refusing

I just wanted to turn you head
To know inside my blood was red
That through the pain and lies I see
That there's a human and it's me
