The storm will calm

by coco13   Feb 10, 2009

Won't you be there for me?
When life gets rough
and storms rage through the sea

won't you be by my side
when anchors hold me down
and I slowly drown in the tides

won't you hold my hand
as I walk down these abandoned beaches
when I'm on my knees; crawling in the sand

Oh anyone, can't you pull me out
from this dark, cold abyss
flowing around me; warmth is all I miss

Be there; sister or brother
Stand by me; friend or lover
Hold me close, as I'll hold you closer

Soon the sea will calm
and the tides will steady;
it won't be long

Don't worry; the sand will settle
and the waters will warm
as we walk down these beaches together
knowing we survived the storm
