Behind every Soldier there is a Girl
with tears in her eyes that she will never let fall
so full of pride and admiration she cant help but share
with a smile on her face as she waves good bye
and a hole in her heart when he is gone

with his dog tags around her neck
and her cell phone on her pillow
waiting on the call she prays will come
with faith that he loves her even when he can't

With more strength than most could muster
more compassion than any feel is due
