The Last Streetlight

by Kelsy   Feb 11, 2009

The last streetlight I think of
When I leave
It's what I remember most
Vivid and clear
Illuminating the white
Illuminating my mind
Shining light into the corners

They used to be dark
Then the light was placed there
To speculate what swirls
In the head, of me, of us

Oh streetlight
If only you couldn't
Read me
Dissecting
Inspecting
Understanding
Knowing

And yet
I enjoy sharing
What I have to give
With something other than
The other me
