Mary and Her Lamb

by Kelsy   Feb 11, 2009

Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white as snow
But it couldn't compare to yours because yours is the best I know

And everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go
I'd follow you everywhere you went just because I love you so

It followed her to school one day which was against the rules
Let's run away forever, don't care about the rules

It made the children laugh and play to see a lamb at school
We'll watch our children laugh and play and make their way through school

The teacher turned it out but still it lingered near
Even if you turn me out, I know I'll linger near

And waited patiently about till Mary did appear
I'd wait patiently for years until you did appear

Why does the lamb love Mary so? the eager children cried
I am your lamb, I love you so, and I'll stay faithful at your side

Why, Mary loves the lamb you know the teacher did reply
I know you love me too, there's no question in my mind
