Unloving You

by Stace   Feb 11, 2009

I wanted you to be the one
I just wanted to have some fun
To know inside my love was true
That someday I would be with you

As it turns out, you're not for me
Although it seems like meant to be
Though it'd fulfill our fantasy
Good isn't great, oh, can't you see?

Perhaps you're not the blind one here
The one who holds nostalgia
Love holds me close, it grabs me tight
Just wishing you were here tonight

I miss those days of sick with love
Unlike these days of lonesome dove
Mem'ries hurt now, all by myself
So shut the book, don't dust the shelf

Now why can't I just work it out?
Unloving you taught me to doubt
Now on my own, learning to live
Just trying to forget, forgive

Ev'ry story don't end as wished
With sunsets, clouds and one girl kissed
And yet I know that lies will end
Love may be waiting 'round the bend

love this stanza cuz that's how most relationship tend to be then the other just fit hand in hand. we think we are meant to be then in a blink of an eye we're not.

love can surely make one blind indeed and make us do crazy things, but it's something we are want to feel that's why we strive to keep the one we love so much

ahh so true, not everything is perfect even if she/he is the one there's always a flaw, no such thing as fairytale endings in life. but then again miracles do happen instead. and yup love may be waiting around the bend indeed.

love the poem, keep it up 5/5
