Kryptonite

Like Superman with kryptonite
Around you I give up my fight
I can't say no, I must say yes
My double dose of chocolate stress

I know the words that I should say
You're bad for me so go away
Your arms, they make me lose my game
I'm going crazy, keep me sane

Before I was tied up with life
Unloosed by Fate, Love's little knife
This feeling, it's so new to me
Now I'm enslaved because I'm free

To say attracted? That's not true
I'm bound by destiny to you
My heart tells me things can't get stranger
I see the signs and they say danger

Because I'm used to being strong
I can't stand to be told I'm wrong
Your kindness makes me want to hide
I'm losing love and saving pride

While bound, was strong, now freed, am weak
Around you, for my chains I seek
I feel desperate when you're near
I want you far away from here

I'm just afraid of what you'd do
I cannot open up to you
Too strong to let myself be found
And just too weak to not be bound

I love you, all else is a lie
To lose you's to forever cry
When will you win my inner fight?
Like Superman with kryptonite
