Stereotypical

With adventures come consequences,
yet knowing the inevitable changes nothing.
We're quick to judge one another,
yet feared of being judged ourselves.

Assumptions based on appearance,
cause opportunities to be missed.
Optimism creates cherished memories,
surely excitement is to follow.

A unique species humans are,
as unlike others we vary in all ways.
Most mammals carry the same traits,
but we differ within our preferences.

A female is discouraged in society,
while trying to free her inner core.
Once prim and proper, but now revealed,
and first impressions become stereotypical.

A female is to have a certain figure,
also a certain way to dress.
To be otherwise is utter nonsense,
to be accepted is to not display your true self.

Businesses still discriminate unjustly,
based on personal opinions that are unrelated.
A task carried out could be beneficial,
although due to a certain style it will not.

~Can a girl not have a mohawk and still advance in the world based on skills and abilities? Apparently not in these days as of yet.~

Don't let society discourage you from being you! Being who you are is true, don't hide yourself for others' satisfaction.
