My 'Knight'

A new year's day resolution,
To stay true, healthy and,
Find my Prince charming.

God, fate, a higher power,
Brought me an angel.
A protector, the 'truth'
That I'd been searching for.

Perhaps, maybe, I got lost.
Lost my faith and 'knight'.
But tonight, all my past has been erased,
And his eyes are all I see.

I can't think of a better guy,
But I've never stopped to think of why.
Him and I, two people at last,
This pounding, my heart beating so fast.

Another hard left.
Another wrong turn.
That's what my life consisted of,
and his too.

But my last wrong turn,
Brought me to him.
There is nothing else to say but,
I Love Him.
