Majestic Mother

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 12, 2009

Born a simple sinner
God's sweet gift to all
Life just barely starting out
A destiny to fall

Gun shots on the corner
Mommy sweetly sings
A lullaby of far off lands
Of distant queens and kings

Dad, he never came around
Stolen by the rock
Mama had to let him go
To teach me how to walk

It never did seem strange to me
Mom could hold it down
Jesus was her king of kings
To me she bore the crown

A wreath of thorns upon her head
Pain I'd wash away
My mother made me everything
You see in me today

Crossed some paths she didn't like
But love, it soldiered on
Even when she let me go
It wasn't really gone

She understood I had to learn
And let me find my way
Even when it meant she had to
Let me go astray

What a beautiful tribute to a mother. There are so many who raise their children alone. The hardest thing to do is to let go and let them grow up and learn their own life's lessons. Hoping we taught them values and morals and they will keep those in their hearts as they grow into adults.
    Excellent!

Great dedication for someone who could never have enough of appreciation. I really become speechless whenever i read a poem for mother...they are the only one who could be blindly trusted all over the world.
    Very nicely written dear

all the best and take care
