Can't Lose You

by marilyn marti   Feb 13, 2009

Go ahead and step on me
Give me pain, set me free
All your words won't let me be
I'm falling out, can't you see?

The wind grows stronger everyday
Are you throwing all my love away?
The hurt sets in, I cannot stay
It stings too much, what can I say?

The war began, I'm feeling tired
You're the one I set on fire
I'm aware of what you've conspired
You've got me hanging on a wire

My soul is silent, it feels so wrong
I really thought that I was strong
The days are bitter, they last so long
Sorry for singing the same sad song

You hate me so, you're losing touch
I ruined our chance for any luck
I've tried to change, but I'm still stuck
I can't lose you, I love you too much.

5/5 need i say more? really liked the content, and the rimes are very good! funny poet fact that i can relate to: "Sorry for singing the same sad song"
it seems all i ever write about it sad/depressive stuff but it's during those times that i have the most inspiration and desire to vent...
