Hence the Hammer Falls

by Carl   Feb 16, 2009

What of thy shield?
Shattered, derelict it lies
Of thy axe?
Splintered before thine eyes

Hence the hammer falls
Battering the iron halls

Meet we here, in rage
Through mist of morn
Collide as though thunder
As sky itself is torn

Hence the hammer falls
Thus our foe crawls

Thrust thee, thrust!
Avail ye it shall not
Thine enemy mocks such
Foils he thy plot

Hence the hammer falls
Thy doom, it calls

Forlorn, thy weeping face
Pity escapes his thought
Kneeling, defeat thee know
Harder thy foe fought

Hence the hammer falls

Ahhh, so old skool. You know, I really like this one. Loving the old language and the typical 'arr hero you hath been brought down' one never sees enough of that.

Like the concept of the couplets though their executions comes off a little unnatural, but it's nothing too major.
