Grace

by Mark Spencer   Feb 16, 2009

Grace is the well of life,
The source of everything.
It is creation's voice,
The spirit of our king.

There we find salvation,
Within it's loving light.
It will profoundly change
Our sense of wrong and right.

It heaves within the breast
Of those who seek the path
That leads to redemption,
And shields us all from wrath.

Its gaze will pierce the heart,
And lay the spirit bare.
Any soul, insincere,
Will find only despair.

For grace is perfection,
Unblemished is its face.
None can look upon it,
And reject its embrace.

It shows us who we are,
Beneath our many masks.
Exposing our secrets,
To anyone who asks.

Once we have seen the truth,
And KNOW what we have been,
Grace becomes the fountain,
That makes us clean again.

It allows those who choose
To enter its embrace,
To find the salvation
They seek within God's grace.

I've been reading your poems for a long time, but just now I am commenting. Your poems have long made me realize that there is more in this life, then just what's on earth. There is someone who will always be there for you, know matter what your mistakes are, his name is GOD.

Thank you, for yet another amazing poem. Your detail, and context can not be beat.
