Starry Eyed Angel

by matthew cote   Jun 11, 2004

The moonlight illuminates,
our spot by the tree,
she looks up "I love u",
is directed towards me,
she shoots me a smile,
as i give her a kiss,
it's been a long time,
true love's fragrance I've missed,
as a shadow moves in,
hiding her from my eyes,
a part of me goes missing,
and the rest of me dies,
but the cloud moves away,
and light sets on her face,
and that part of me missing,
moves back into place,
the moon glows from above,
through the trees and the tangle,
as i smile with love,
for my starry eyed angel
