Why can't I find someone,

must your heart jump
when you see them.

Why can't I find someone,

that fill them.

but can't see the cracks
or the breaks
that cover it.

You see someone with a smile, that shakes,
can you find the hurt inside
can you see the pain,
the tears, or the blood that she's shed.

She hides behind sparkling eyes
she hides behind a perfect smile
she hides behind a glass heart.

She hides behind dead eyes
she hides behind a faded smile
she hides behind a shattered heart.
