My 26th birthday......but....without you!

25 years slipped from my hand,
went flapping its wings,
never to earth land!
"your 26th year coming nigh",was all it had to chant!
wished she gave me a grant;
just to know if the new year unfurls as I planned.
but......she wouldn't stay!
Flickering in front of my eyes,
stood my life all clad in grey!

Reimbursed joys!reincarnated sorrows!
wish they turn out to be better tomorrows!
Birthday gifts.......Birthday rose,
all rejected in remorse!
storming heaven's doors,my echoes die;
it,s my birthday mother,come nigh!
