Kingdom in the sky

As I sit in nature's embrace
My mind still wonders into space
Have it I who's been too strange?
Or has it you who's been out-ranged?
Too many others seem much like you
those who overlook the skies of blue
I'm thankful for all but I still dare pray
that the sky will be over us
each and every day

For that day, when the sun will take rise
through the valleys and to the skies
To bring something new to this bygone place
Something to all, the mind can't erase
I will take my solemn wings and fly
To the kingdom in the sky
