On one hand I'm scared
That maybe I'll fall
but on the other I'm willing
to go ahead and risk it all

The devil and the angel
one left and one right
They fight on my shoulders
long into the night

The angel says
"Darling, trust her with your heart"
The devils argument starts with
"She'll tear you apart"

I wanna believe the angel
God only know i do
but if the devil understands
What will i ever do

The devil knows I've been hurt
He knows my heart isn't the same
But the angel is determined to prove
that she's not in it for a game

The angel says let her in
Give her the time of day
but the devil says
baby you know she'll push you away

The devil has a point
I've been pushed away before
a part of me is worried
she'll go running for the door

But the angel knows i Love her
know I've fallen head over heels
I don't think the devil knows
How being in love feels

If i don't take this chance
give the girl a try
I'll regret it in the morning
with tears in my eye

I'll trust my heart to the angel
I'll give the girl a chance
the devil starts to sulk
Whilst the angel does a victory dance

The angels words of wisdom
don't ever back down
She promised she'd treat you like a queen
