All We Want.

by Not Bulletproof   Feb 25, 2009

If only we could say the things we wish,
without worrying that they may vanish.
All those ones we love that cannot see
just how much they make you happy.
Words can say a lot, but only if you try,
you can change a lot with a truth or a lie.

How can I tell you what it is that I seek
when these things I cannot bear to speak?
So afraid of where it may lead our lives
that I would prefer silence, and to hide.
Our hearts will carry our burdens heavy
partly because we still feel so unworthy.

There are many of us, hiding our words,
lurking in the darkness, like true cowards.
We love our loves, but will they love too?
We are all so afraid of what to say to you.
Can you not spare us time, to hear us out?
Listen closely, because we fear to shout.

Will you see the meaning in our eyes?
Try and look past what may be lies...
sometimes inside, we harbor the truth,
we all do crazy things during our youth.
Just understand we will try our best,
just don't put our hearts up to the test.

Try to love us; love us like we love you
it's all we've ever wanted from you.
Love.
