Liar

Sitting here lonely
the reality setting in
today is heart breaking
I never wanted to feel this again

I guess this goes to show
that love is completely out of your control
one day things are amazing
the next you are alone

tears flow from my eyes
streaming down my hollow cheeks
I'm at a loss of words
my body has fallen weak

I don't have the strength it takes
to make it through a break up
this isn't what I wanted for us
instead of lying why couldn't you just shut up?

you bring this upon yourself you know
always testing your boundaries
you should know by now that honesty
it's the one thing needed to keep us from drowning

sad that things are like this
this is not what is meant to be
but this is the aftermath of what happends
when you think its ok to lie to me

this is not a poem of purpose
it's just one to get things out
one to ask you what you were thinking
when you broke my heart and let me down.
