Alabastre Sand...

by Polaroid   Feb 27, 2009

We think that wind wishes nothing more,
than to blow our dreams astray.
We think that the falling summer rain,
Is the reason for washing our hope away.

We believe that the sun, shining overhead,
Is what stirs our hearts to flame.
And when a dreary cloud covers instead
we blame it for our shame.

When a storm blows in, strong and biting,
A ferocity rises, confusion inciting.
But always remember through thick and thin,
that a calm will always follow the wind.

Although the wind may howl through the night
Although failure may rule over you.
Remember through disdain,
Calm inevitably follows rain

Sand will blow away our castles built of sand,
But hold tight to your dreams and they'll never end.
Alabastre sand will protect our hopes of might,
and the life of the ocean and the gulls wild flight.
