Memories

by I Dont Care Bear   Feb 28, 2009

Tears run down my face
As I think about the "good ol' days"
The days when life seemed so long
The days when no one was gone
The days at school
The days we thought we were so cool
The days when it was all of us
When we shared so much trust
The days we were together
Never caring about the weather
The day we met
I remember it very well, how can i forget
Back when we were happy
The day we became a family
But those days are done
Incinerated in the obis of the sun
For now you are gone
I still can't manage to move on
Certain songs bring back memories
Some of which even bring me to my knees
We can no longer share our laughter
Or talk about our happy ever after
We can no longer spend time together
Or hug each other or sing together
You were taken away so fast
Now all that remains are memories of the past
Memories that we can no longer make any more of
Memories where we got to share so much love
Why did you have to go
Together we were supposed to grow old
Now you're gone and i never even got to say goodbye
And now everyday i have to try so hard not to cry
Now you forever remain in my heart
Fore thats the only place we can never be apart.

I find it hard to understand why in 779 visits no one actually seems to have commented or voted only me. As in our lives we all have or will loose someone we loved and this poem certainly gets across your message there is definitely room for improvement but I enjoy its meter and flow. A very emotion offering full of want and remorse well written Ray S
