Future Military Life

I know you don't want me to go
but I have to do what's right
you say I should go to college
but college is not my sight

maybe in my future
but not right away
I want to join some branch of the military
I'm sorry, but I can't stay

I don't understand why you wont let me
I understand a war is going on
but close your eyes and count to three
I wont be gone that long

I'm looking into the Navy
it doesn't sound that bad
I'm up for the adventure
so please don't be sad

yes, I will be deployed
yes, I will go far away
but look into my eyes this once
and see why I have to go my way

there are so many things
that can benefit me
but all the bad things in the military
is the only thing you see
