Pipe dreams; lost illusions of a romantic fool

by Ingrid   Mar 6, 2009

Pipe dreams; lost illusions of a romantic fool

Thoughts, swirling like darkened clouds
against gravity they soar to my sanctuary
Steadily replacing bubbles,
bursting one by one
On these magical windy moors
once roamed a dreamer,
with her companion hand in hand
Vast fields of fertile soil
have now turned to desert land
Billowing winds tug at the last shreds of hope

What will remain after the storm dies down?
